- We are building up a collection of Linux and other tech oriented books
that we will make available to our members to check-out, like a library.
Check out period will be one month, any checked out books must be returned at the meeting
a month after checkout.
-
- We have an arrangement with O'Reilly
where they can send us 1 review copy, for the group, of newly released titles when they come out.
We can also choose any older titles we like, just so long as we keep it to maybe 1 or 2 per month.
You can look through the entire O'Reilly Catalog to see what they have available.
-
- Part of this deal is that O'Reilly would like reviews of these books that they give us, to put in their newsletters, on their website, etc.
So if anyone checks out a book, please consider doing a review of it. We only need 1 or 2 reviews of each book, so you don't have to do a review just to check a book out. If you are interested in doing a review, let me know.
- We will most likely make these reviews available on this site, linked to from the book titles. If you wish to remain anonymous when giving your review that is fine.
-
- We receive a newsletter from them as part of our UG program participation, part of which is announcements for new books. If there is enough interest I can put the newsletters up on this site.
-
- We are now also part of the UG program run by New Riders publishing. We get one review copy per month from a list of choices they send. I have added a separate section for these books.
-
- We have just joined the McGraw Hill / Osborne User Group program too. They will also send us review copies for our library. They ask that we put reviews of the books on our site.
-
- Also note, that if anyone in the group has books that they would like to donate to our library, please let me know and we will make them available as well.
-
-
- Please select which list you want to see:
- Current Titles- O'Reilly | Current Titles- New Riders | Current Titles - Osborne | Curret Titles- Donated | Wish List
- The following are new review copies that have been given to us by O'Reilly.
- If anyone has any suggestions as to other titles to ask for, drop me a line.
-
- Please note, we only get one copy of each book, this
is not a free for all where they can send us 50 copies of each.
- Please treat these books with proper care and respect, so that everyone can enjoy them.
- These books are all property of OCLUG.

- The following are titles that we plan to ask for in the near future.
- These are just future possibilities, we are not going to ask for all of them at once.
- If there are any titles that OReilly has out that you would like OCLUG to ask for, drop me a line.
- Or, if you want one to be asked for sooner rather than later, also, drop me a line.
- Note these are not in any order of priority, I just put them in the order they appear in the catalog.
- Titles that have higher priority (likely to be asked for soon) will be bold and surrounded with *asterisks*.
- A date in "Asked For" field indicates when I asked for that title.
